Livin' in the 80's

OK, OK, we all know I’m a stone cold jewelry nut, but when we took out the Anna Beck cuff to put on the home page I started wearing it. Needless to say, I’m now in LOVE and have ordered it for myself. I just bought a Norma Kamali bat wing turtle neck – I swear I bought the exact same thing for myself in the late 80’s – and this bracelet looks incredible with it. Sure wish I had this bracelet the first time around . . . .

I spent the end of the week, and the beginning of the next previewing
Oct - Dec deliveries. There are some great new goodies coming our way!
I especially like the brand spanking new bracelets from Tommasini, wide
cuffs with great pyramid shapes, accented with crystal. There's also a
rockin new line called babakul. They marry leather with gold and
diamond. These are the sort of pieces that are meant to be put on and
left on. Can't wait to get mine on!

Summer in the City

The dog days of summer in So Cal press on! Lots of beach time, movie time, and anything air conditioned time! There is a great show coming up at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It's an exploration of Latin American Art, and I'm really looking forward to it. If you plan on being in the hood you might want to check it out. Enough of the cultural, and on to fashion! I"m back to wearing my mutli layered necks - one of my fav looks. I've mixed a demitasse spoon, with a washer neck from Emma and Me, and thrown in an old turquiose strand for fun. Oh Canada!

I just got back from Canada, and it is beautiful. It did feel a bit odd to be cold in the summer, but you can't beat the staying light until 9:00. Missed my flip flops. Perhaps that's why I was so THRILLED to see the new flips from Lori Jack. I put a pair of apple red on my feet and they just haven't been able to take them off!

News From Jen

First off, check out the new site - I'm in love. Finally we have space to add in all the goodies that I know we all like. I can't believe how many questions I've gotten sent to the "ask a stylist" link. Plus, they're fun to answer.

It's hot as can be here, and humid too. I know our East Coast friends are laughing, humidity is relative (bad pun).

To say that we've been busy in the store is an understatement. All of the TV shows are back in full swing. You'll be seeing our goodies in upcoming episodes of Shark, a new HBO show starring Diane Weist and Gabriel Byrne, as well a new film starring Sandra Bullock. As soon as these are assigned names I'll fill you in.

Can't seem to take off my Demitasse baby spoon necklace. The designer, Racheal, had my kids initials engraved into the little spoons. So sweet, and it works really well with any other goodie I've got on.
